Iran/Iraq: Iranian firm to build factory in Iraq
An Iranian firm has been offered an investment license to build a cement factory in southern Iraq by provincial authorities in Thi-Qar.
The Thi-Qar Investment Board has given a UAE-based Iranian firm an investment license to build a cement factory in the province, Mohamed Aziz al-Hindawi, Marketing Director for Thi-Qar Investment Board, told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The factory will be able to produce 3000tpd of cement. Hindawi did not provide additional information on the cost of the project or its likely start but said that negotiations were in final stages.
Thi-Qar is located in Iraq’s southern region, bordered in the south by Basrah and Muthanna. Published under Cement News
