Developers to Invest US$4bn in industrial sector of Leningrad region

Developers will invest at least US$4bn in the industrial sector of the Leningrad Region by 2011.

At present, over 40 enterprises worth as much as US$100m each are being built in the region.

Before the end of 2008, a subsidiary of the LSR Group will complete a cement plant in the Slantsy District with a capacity of 2Mt, and EuroAeroBeton, a company set up by the Triada-LTD developer and Evrofinans Mosnarbank, will commission a plant to produce aerated concrete in Volosovo (400,000m3 pa) and a plant to manufacture aerated concrete building materials in Slantsy (240,000m3).

Other related facilities under construction are a Baumit plant to manufacture dry mixes in the Volosovo District (capacity 75,000Mt) and the second phase of a cement plant (capacity 1.2Mt) of the Cesla Cement plant in Slantsy.
