Russia’s Millhouse to build RBL12bn  cement plant in Perm Region

Russian company Millhouse, which is controlled by Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich, plans to build a RBL12.25bn cement plant in the Perm Region, the regional government said in a report obtained by Prime-Tass Monday.

The company plans to build the plant by 2011. The annual production capacity of the plant is projected at 2Mta of cement. Investments in the project are expected to be recouped within five years.

Another company called the Urals Non-metallic Construction Company (Uralskaya nerudno-stroitelnaya kompaniya) plans to build a RBL3.550bn construction materials plant in the region. The launch of the plant is scheduled for 2010-2011. The plant will annually produce over 1Mta of cement. It will also produce lime, porous concrete, and brick.
