Tangshan Jidong Cement to set up new production line

Tangshan Jidong Cement Co, a China-based construction materials manufacturer and distributor, announced that it has signed an agreement with Laishui County government to set up a new cement line.

Pursuant to relevant contract, the Tangshan-headquartered cement producer will approximately invest RMB 700m in the new cement production line, which is scheduled to be completed and commence production within a year after the company receives regulatory approval from the local government.

The new line is designed to produce 4500tpd of cement and its output capacity is expected to reach 2Mta after the project is completed. The Shenzhen-listed company said earlier it would invest RMB 1.5bn in two clinker production lines with daily output capacity of 4500t each in Bishan County, Chongqing, southwest of China.
 
It will also build a clinker production line with daily capacity of 4,500t in Pingshan County of southwest China, involving investment of RMB750m.
