The Timken Company announced today that it secured an order from Tianjin Cement Design & Research Institute Co Ltd (TCDRI) to supply bearings for more than 50 vertical cement mills. TCDRI is a leading technology and equipment supplier based in Tianjin, China.

The order is for single-row cylindrical roller bearings and two-row tapered roller bearings used in vertical cement mill equipment manufactured by TCDRI. The bearings will be delivered throughout 2008 and 2009. Timken first delivered bearings to TCDRI in 2007 when the company placed a more than US$1m order also for its vertical cement mills.

Timken supplies a broad range of friction-management and power-transmission solutions, including tapered, spherical, cylindrical and needle bearings for industrial applications.
