Gulf News reported that Dubai based reported that ETA Star Group, a property developer and construction company, will be investing US$150m (AED 550m) in a new cement plant in Ras Al Khaimah under the Star Cement name.

Mr Hamed Salahuddin MD of ETA Star Group said that the new plant, commissioned for last quarter of this year, will add 2Mt of production capacity to their existing 3.5Mt. He added that "We are pushing ourselves in the direction of manufacturing.”
