Devnya Cement AD, the Bulgarian subsidiary of Italcementi and the largest producer in the country, has contracted Polysius to supply a kiln line for 7000tpd of clinker.

The new line is to be constructed in Devnya, about 30km from the Black Sea port of Varna and is scheduled to commence operations in early 2010.

Polysius will supply a two-string, five-stage Dopol®’90 preheater with Prepol®-AS-CC calcining system and SNCR process, as well as a Polro® rotary kiln with electro-mechanical drive and a Polytrack® clinker cooler with roll crusher.
