Lafarge has acquired a 35 per cent stake in Algerian cement company ERCC, according to Agence-France Presse.
 
The acquisition is part of Lafarge’s overall investment in Algeria of between US$400m and $500m, the sources said.
 
The Algerian state owns the remaining 65 per cent of the company.
