Turkish production grows 3.9% YoY

Cement production grew by 3.9% compared to 2006 and reached 49.3Mt last year, according to data of the Turkey Cement Manufacturers’ Association. Cement exports in the same period surged by 17.4% YoY to 6.6Mt. Most of the cement production took place in the Marmara region with 14.53Mt to be followed by the Central Anatolia region where output amounted to 8Mt. The Mediterranean region’s production stood  at 7Mt last year, TCMA data shows.
