India’s ACC March cement shipments up 4.9 per cent YoY

India’s ACC Ltd said on Friday its March cement shipments rose 4.9 per cent to 1.92Mt from 1.83Mt a year earlier.  
 
The Mumbai-based firm, in which Holcim controls about 41 per cent, said production in March was 1.89Mt, up from 1.79Mt a year earlier.  
 
ACC has an annual cement making capacity of 19.9Mt, making it India’s single biggest cement maker.
