Semen Padang posts 47.7 per cent jump in year net profit
PT Semen Padang of Indonesia posted a net profit of Rp358bn (US$39m) in 2007, up by 47.72 per cent from a year earlier.
Sales in 2007 jumped 115.84 per cent to 6.447Mt compared with 2006 when the figure was 5.56Mt, the company’s president director, Endang Irzal, said on Tuesday.
PT Semen Padang has set its sales target for 2007 at 6.44Mt.
He said the 2007 sales outstripped the company’s production of 5.47Mt as it also sold cement from PT Semen Gresik Group.
"PT Semen Padang sold 960,000t more than its production thanks to its synergy with PT Semen Gresik Grup," he said. Published under Cement News
