Industry: Vietnam Corp sells 2.6Mt of cement this year

The state-run Vietnam Cement Industry Corp (Vicem) reported it sold 2.6Mt of cement so far this year, up 14% on year, local press reported.  
 
Vicem is holding 38% of the local cement market share, adding that the country’s leading cement maker targeted to provide Hanoi with 30,000t of cement a day to satisfy the increasing demand.  
 
Vicem targeted to produce 4.1Mt of cement and 2.25Mt of clinker in the first quarter of this year and sell 4.1Mt of cement and 130,000t of clinker, said Vicem on its official website.
 
Vietnam is estimated to consume 8.5Mt in the period, up 14% on year, Vicem added.
