Holcim Ltd plans to invest about US$800m in Mexico between 2008 and 2010, the government said Wednesday.
President Felipe Calderon met with Holcim Chief Executive Markus Akermann, the presidential press office said in a statement.
The investment over the next three years includes $400m for a new 1.6Mta cement plant under construction in the northwestern state of Sonora.
Holcim’s Mexican unit Holcim Apasco operates six cement plants with annual capacity of 11.3Mt. Published under Cement News
