Ukrainian Balcem, one of the three largest cement producers in the Ukraine, boosted its net profit to UAH354.8m (US$70.35m) in 2007 from UAH43.08m (US$8.54m) a year earlier, the company said.  
 
Balcem’s assets stood at UAH649.4 (UAH$128.7m) as at the end of 2007. Long-term liabilities amounted to UAH7.73m (US$1.53m) in the period, while current liabilities made up UAH83.48m (US$16.55m).  
 
Balcem is part of Kyiv-based EuroCement Group Ukraine, which is in turn controlled by Russian EuroCement Group.
