Ukrainian cement production grows 8% in Jan
Ukrainian cement production increased 7.9% YoY to 822,000t in January 2008, the industry association Ukrcement told local press.
Ukrcement members produced 681,100t of cement, 1.5% more than a year earlier.
Compared to the previous month, cement production was down 17.8% in January, including 19.2% by Ukrcement members.
Ukraine increased cement production by 9.3% year-on-year to 14.995 million tonnes in 2007, Ukrcement was reported as saying earlier. Ukrcement members produced 11.765 million tonnes of cement, 7.3% more than a year earlier. Published under Cement News
