Egyptian Cement Company (ECC) booked a net profit of E£1.548bn (US$281.7m) in 2007, up from E£1.269bn (US$231m) a year ago, according the company’s financial statement, published on February 19, 2008.  
 
ECC sales increased to E£3.208bn (US$583.8m) from E£2.459bn (US$447.5m), and total operating profit amounted to E£1.642bn (US$298.8m), up from E£1.375bn (US$250.2m).
