Sagar Cements Ltd said on Thursday it plans to set up a 5Mt cement plant in Karnataka, and is also considering a plant in Oman, in joint venture with a local company there. 

The company said that the actual capacity, location, method of implementation and mode of funding of the above projects together with other details would be finalized in due course.
