Cement sales in India rose 4.6 percent in January from the year ago, Cement Manufacturers’ Association’s Web site showed.  
 
Sales in January were 14.82Mt, compared with 14.17Mt in the year ago period. Production rose 5 percent to 14.8Mt last month, against 14.09Mt a year earlier.
