Taiwan Cement to raise domestic prices by 10%
12 February 2008

Taiwan Cement Corp will increase domestic bulk cement prices by 10% to NT$2,500/t in March to reflect rising material costs, the Economic Daily News reported Tuesday, citing company Vice President Huang Chien-chiang.

Because Taiwan Cement controls 52% of the island’s cement market, smaller rivals Asia Cement Corp. , Chia Hsin Cement Corp.  and Universal Cement Corp. will likely follow suit, the Chinese-language newspaper added.
