Cementir increases EBITDA by 11%
Cementir, whose main operating units are based in Denmark, Italy and Turkey, has announced preliminary results for 2007 that show a 9.4% increase in turnover to EUR1152.1m, with the EBITDA rising by 10.8% to EUR274.1m.
The trading profit improved by 9.1% to EUR197.3m and the pre-tax profit advanced by 18.1% to EUR199.4m, thanks to financial gains. The net debt declined by 16.6% during the year to EUR364.8m. The number of employees rose by 3.7% to 3,882.
Shipment of grey and white cement rose by 6.3% to 10.88Mt, while aggregates deliveries advanced by 21.7% to 3.57Mt and ready-mixed concrete volume advanced by 4.8% to 4.53Mm³.
