Cement production in Belarus in 2007 totalled 3.8Mt, 9.3 per cent more than in the previous year, according to the Ministry of Statistics and Analysis. December’s cement output reportedly amounted to 287,000t, a 15.6 per cent increase on the same month of 2006.

The production of building materials in 2007 totaled 3,141 billion rubels in terms of value, or 11.3 percent more than in the previous year, the statistics ministry said.
