India’s Aditya Birla Group said on Thursday its cement shipments in December rose 7.7 percent from a year earlier to 2.7Mt.  
 
It said cement production rose 4.1 per cent to 2.62Mt.  
 
The group includes flagship Grasim Industries Ltd and UltraTech Cement Ltd , with a combined cement making capacity of more than 31Mt.
