Vicat Unit opens new line in Turkey

According to Turkish press, Bastas Cimento, part of the Vicat Group, has put into operation a new kiln line at its plant near Ankara, citing company sources.  
 
The facility will have the capacity to produce 4000tpd while 70 per cent of the fuel necessary to power the kiln will be secondary fuel. The cement kiln will also have a gas filter, a crushing machine for the raw materials, a preheater and a cooling system. 
 
The inauguration of the kiln brings Bastas Cimento’s capacity to more than 2.5Mta of cement per year and will enable the Turkish firm to strengthen its presence in the country, where the cement market is booming.
