Egypt’s Torah Portland Cement reported a 10.6 per cent rise in net profit for the first nine months of 2007 to £290.6m (US$52.8m), the stock exchange said on Tuesday.  
 
The firm’s net profit for the same period in the same period last year stood at £E262.73m.  
 
Torah Cement is a subsidiary of Suez Cement , which is itself majority owned by Italy’s Italcementi .
