Lafarge SA has invited Belgian businessman Albert Frere to join its board of directors, Belgian
daily L’Echo reports Friday, citing  Lafarge.

Frere indirectly controls Belgian holding company Groupe Bruxelles Lambert. GBL owns 17.4% of  Lafarge,
which makes Frere the company’s main shareholder, according to L’Echo.
