Jordan Cement Factories Co (JCFC) posted a net profit of JOD42.4m (US$59.9m) for the first nine months of 2007, down from JOD50.6m ($71.4m) a year ago.  
 
Pre-tax profit also decreased to JOD51.5m (US$72.7m) from JOD61.5m (US$86.8m).  
 
In 2006, the company registered an increase in sales to 4.7Mt from 3.89Mt a year earlier. JCFC plans to raise its annual capacity to 5.5Mt in 2008.
