Russian company to build cement plant in Khanty-Mansi district

The government of Russia’s Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District and Russian company Zavod Elkap have signed an agreement under which the company will build a cement plant in the city of Surgut, the regional governor’s press service said Thursday.  
 
The investment in the plant’s construction will amount more than 4.5 billion rubles.  
 
The agreement was signed at the international investment forum Yugra-2007 in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk on Wednesday.  
 
The plant is expected to be launched sometime in January-March 2009 and to produce 375,000 tonnes of cement per year.
