The first phase cement project with annual output capacity of 1Mt of Shuangma Cement Factory in Gongxian of Sichuan Province, southwest China, which was acquired by Lafarge Shui On, started production on Sept. 26.  
 
Lafarge now has total annual cement production capacity of 5.5Mt in Sichuan Province after successful acquisition of the Sichuan Shuangma Investment Group in July. Its first cement production line in Sichuan was built in Dujiangyan in 1999, with annual capacity of 1.5Mt.
