China’s cement output increased by 11.6% year-on-year in July, with the growth rate down 3.1 percentage points as compared to June, according to the information released by the Ministry of Commerce on September 10th.

The ex-factory average cement price of China’s key building material enterprises was RMB284/t in July, up RMB1/t year-on-year. At the end of July, cement inventory was at 9.61Mt in key building material enterprises, up 19.3% year-on-year. In the first seven months of 2007, China’s cement output reached 735.19mt, up 15.4% year-on-year.
