Ambuja Cements, India’s third-largest cement maker, said on Wednesday its August shipments rose three per cent to 1.15Mt from 1.12Mt a year earlier.  
 
Production rose an annual four per cent to 1.13Mt, the company said in a statement.  
 
Holcim owns more than 36 per cent of  Ambuja Cements and has said it would launch an open offer to buy another 20 per cent.
