Irish cement maker Readymix today said it has sold selective parts of its precast concrete products business to construction materials manufacturer Acheson and Glover Ltd for EUR49m in cash.  
 
Readymix said the business reported a turnover of EUR55.8m and an EBITDA of EUR7.4m for the year ended December 2006.  
 
The disposal provides an ’excellent’ development platform from which to invest in our core businesses, Readymix said in a statement.
