BazelCement inaugurates restored Achinsk cement plant
04 September 2007

BazelCement inaugurated Achinsk Cement Plant, which has been idle since 2000. The plant’s equipment survived and in April 2007 BazelCement started restoring the facility. These efforts required over $13mln worth of investments. One of the production lines has already been renewed, and two more lines may be launched within a year. Now, the facility is able to produce around 700,000 tonnes of cement per year (grades 400 DO and 500 DO). Gradually, the plant will reach the design capacity of 2.1mln tones per year. This will boost BazelCement output more than 2-fold, the Vedomosti newspaper reported.
