ACC August cement production rises 20.3%
India’s ACC cement production increased to 1.6Mt in August compared to 1.33Mt in the same month last year. Despatches for the month rose to 1.57Mt from 1.37Mt in the previous year.
In January to August period, production rose to 13.44Mt from last year’s 12.48Mt and despatches increased to 13.42Mt from 12.46Mt for the said period.
Meanwhile, Aditya Birla Group’s Cement production for the period April-August ’07 has moved up by 7.32% at 128.02 lac mt as against 119.29 lac mt during April-August ’06. Dispatches grew by 6.88% at 127.32 lac mt in April-August ’07 vis-a-vis 119.13 lac mt in the corresponding period last year.
Cement production and dispatches for the month of August ’07 stood at 23.77 lac mt and 23.60 lac mt, registering a growth of 17.10% and 12.25% over August ’06 respectively. Published under Cement News
