Egypt’s Amreya Cement made a net profit of E£134.3m (US$23.6m) in the first half of 2007, 11 per cent down on the same period a year earlier, the stock exchange said on Wednesday.  
 
The company did not give a reason for the decline in profit, which was reported before minority interest.
