Anhui Conch Cement sees a drop in export due to rebate cut
22 August 2007

Anhui Conch Cement Company Limited anticipates the export of mainland Chinese produced cement and clinker will slow down due to a cut in export tax rebate and an appreciated yuan.

For the second half of 2007, Anhui Conch Cement expects to maintain a steady growth in the level of fixed asset investment and the infrastructure project. The price of cement is estimated to have a slight increase in a stable situation. However, the general cost is anticipated to increase by 2.91% compared with the corresponding period of 2006 because of the higher prices of coal and electricity.
