Universal to set up US$160m cement plant with British partner

CEO of cement company Universal Cimento, Mete Bulgun says that the company will set up a cement plant in the city of Bilecik with US$160m investment. 65% of the plant’s capital will be provided by a British partner says Bulgun however declines to give the name of the investor. The plant will have an annual cement production capacity of 1.5Mt and is expected to be constructed in 2 years.
