Lafarge to invest EUR38.3m in upgrading Ukraine works

Lafarge is to invest EUR38.3m in upgrading the Mykolayivtsement cement works in Lviv region, a statement released by the company says.  
 
According to the statement, given the price hikes for energy resources coupled with the curent demands of the cement market, the company is planning a number of new projects to maintain its competitive edge. 
 
As a result of the upgrade, the cement works will be able to boost its production by 250,000tpa.
