Holcim Apasco reports that it has invested nearly US$50m in environmental protection during the period 2002-2006.  
 
Holcim Apasco has succeeded in decreasing CO2 emissions by by 18 per cent in the last few months, the unit added.  
 
The Mexican company also invested $70m between 2002 and 2006 in infrastructure and technology to process more than 1.5Mt of waste.
