Morocco’s cement production to reach 24.2Mt by end-2010.
Moroccan minister of Trade and Economy Upgrading, Salaheddine Mezouar, at House of Representatives’ (lower House) question time, announced that cement production in Morocco will reach 24.2Mt by end 2010. Mezouar revealed that a US$1.9m investment programme from 2005 to 2010 is expected to increase cement production.
Power supply to remain undisturbed in Morocco. Minister of energy and Mining, Mohamed Boutaleb said that there would be no disturbance or disruption in electricity supply, now or in the future, in Morocco . Boutaleb, speaking at the house of advisors’ question time on power cuts during the summer of 2007, said that the power production is sufficient to meet demand, now and in the future.
