Gresik Jan-May cement sales up 8.1 per cent YoY

Indonesia’s largest maker of cement, PT Semen Gresik, sold 6.5Mt in the first five months of the year, 8.1 per cent more than in the corresponding period of last year, the rise having been led by exports, the company said.

Semen Gresik said its cement exports during the first five months were 95 pct higher than a year before at 639,412t.

Its domestic cement sales increased three per cent to 5.86Mt.

Semen Gresik investors relations division head Agung Wiharto told Thomson Financial that by end of last month, the prices of cement sold by the firm were 10 per cent higher than at end the of last year.
