The Croatian unit of Holcim said on Wednesday it has acquired a majority stake in Plovanija Kamen stone quarry and cement plant for an undisclosed sum.  
 
"The acquisition strengthens  Holcim’s position in Croatia and will increase its total production to some 1.5 Mt of aggregates and 180,000m3 of concrete," Holcim Croatia said in a statement.
