India May cement sales up 10.6 per cent on year
Cement sales in India rose 10.6 per cent in May to 14.21Mt, data from the Cement Manufacturers’ Association showed.
Production stood at 14.25Mt last month against 13Mt a year earlier, the association said.
India has a capacity to manufacture 177Mt a year. Producers have announced plans to add another 100Mt capacity by 2009/10.
