Cement consumption in Spain during the first four months of the year increased 2.9 per cent from the same period a year earlier to 18.4Mt, industry association Oficemen said Friday.

Consumption in April alone was up 0.03 per cent at 4.2Mt. Domestic output in the four months climbed 3.7 per cent from a year earlier to 17.8Mt. Imports fell 1.4 per cent to 4Mt.
