Heidelberg Cement to invest more in Golukhinskiy plant

HeidelbergCement intends to invest up to Euro 150m in Russian company Tsement (Golukhinskiy Cement Plant, Altai Krai, Siberia) to expand production. In result, in three years enterprise’s facilities are to grow from 275.000t to 800,000t of cement a year, which exceeds forecasted needs of the region (700,000tpa).

Golukhinskiy Cement Plant owned by Tsement is the Altai Krai’s only enterprise making cement. 25 per cent of shares in the company are owned by the Krai authority, the rest – construction holding Stroigaz. In 2006 the plant made 275,000t of cement and plans to make 300,000t in 2007.
