St Lawrence acquires Beton Lunick and Beton Grilli

St Lawrence Cement Group Inc. has recently acquired the assets of Beton Lunick and most of the assets of Beton Grilli. The combined business represents sales of about $26-million.

The Beton Lunick plant in Terrebonne will join the Demix Beton network. The three Beton Grilli plants located in Lavaltrie, Vaudreuil and Lachute, as well as a sand pit in St Telesphore, will be integrated into Demix Services, a newly created subsidiary of St. Lawrence Cement Group, in which the former owners of Beton Grilli will keep a 30 per cent equity interest.

These acquisitions will expand St Lawrence Cement’s network of ready-mix and aggregates positions in the greater Montreal area, reinforcing the coverage and the service offered to its customers.
