i2 Technologies, Inc. today announced that HeidelbergCement has selected i2 Supply Chain Strategist to optimize its global logistics network. The initial implementation will be in eastern European countries, with plans for an eventual broader rollout.

HeidelbergCement has selected i2 Supply Chain Strategist to drive more efficiency through its production and distribution network. The solution is designed to support key strategic decisions at each stage of the supply chain from raw materials procurement to finished goods distribution. It can provide insight into the tradeoffs between alternative strategies regarding site location, facility missions, product mix, transportation strategies and inventory deployment strategies.
