Italcementi yesterday predicted growth in Europe and major development in emerging countries as it forecast 2007 margins in line with those achieved last year. It will aim to reduce costs by looking at alternative sources of energy, and will invest 650m-700m euros over the next four years in structural improvements to factories.
Shareholders yesterday approved the accounts for 2006, which show profits of 112.3m euros and an ordinary unit dividend of 0.36 euros. They also appointed a new board of directors, with several fresh faces but no change to chairman Giampiero Pesenti and CEO Carlo Pesenti
