Indocement to invest US$60m to increase capacity

PT Indocement Tunggal Prakasa  has set aside US$60m in capital expenditure this year to increase its capacity.  
 
The Finance Director of the country’s second largest cement producer Christian Kartawijaya said the company will increase its capacity by 600,000tpa  from 16.5Mt last year.  
 
The capacity expansion will continue until 2009 when its an annual capacity is expected to rise further to 20Mt, Christian said.  
 
The company, which is 65.12 per cent owned by Germany’s Heidelberger Zement Ltd, also plans to use alternative fuel for its cement factory in Cibinong, West Java.
