Angola to have new cement factory owned by US and Angolan investors

An investment project for the construction of a clinker and cement factory in Angola’s Benguela province was approved by the Angolan government Friday.

The industrial complex, known as Palanca Cimento, to be built within 24 months in Hanja, Lobito district in Benguela province, will include commercial facilities, a port, distribution centers and electricity and water treatment stations.

According to a statement issued by the Council of Minister, the investors in this project are Angolan group Gema and US consortium BGGA Group Ventures 1, LLP.
