Eurocement to invest $30m in Ukrainian Balcem cement unit
Russia’s Euroement Group plans to invest US$30m in its Ukrainian cement plant Balcem, aiming to boost its capacity, said group president Mikhail Skorokhod.
The company will relaunch Balcem’s fifth production line, which has been out of operation for 15 years, raising the plant’s annual cement production capacity by 1Mt.
EuroCement Group incorporates 16 cement plants in Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan, which have a total capacity of 35Mt. The company is the eighth largest cement producer worldwide. Published under Cement News
